Walkthrough
This quest can be started by chatting with Dijaam Onêlys in the Bathhouse during The Shortcut. If not complete before talking to Maél in Trails in the Sand, this quest will fail automatically.
Dijaam will be waiting for you near a Kiléan dancer. She asks for your opinion on the performance, and then moves on to a barstool, inviting you to sit next to her. There, Dijaam explains how Duul actually speaks perfect Inâl, and was simply trying to extort some money out of you in your previous encounter. Then, she talks about the situation of the countries, and how, in Kilé, one can overcome any hardship if they want, no matter in what social ranking they were born in. Those who continue to live in misery brought it upon themselves, she says.
She then explains her own situation and upbringing: She was born in a poor family, her father a Glimmercap Dust addict, and her brother was crippled. Dijaam loathes the people she grew with, saying they simply bowed and accepted their fate instead of fighting their way out of it, as she did.
After the conversation, she leaves the tavern to check up on her crew, and this quest ends.
