Background

Tealor Arantheal wants the hero and Keeper Sakaresh to inspect the Pyrean ruins called Old Dothûlgrad - allegedly the Pyreans researched on a weapon mechanism against the Cycle and the Cleansing, shortly before their downfall. Arantheal hopes that they can find the blueprints or even a prototype of that machine in the ruins.

Objectives

Step 1

  • Meet Calia

Calia Sakaresh is waiting the hero at basement floor of the Sun Temple, Emporium.

  • Meet Calia at the Northern Heartland's Myrad tower (**)

When the hero meet with her, Calia Sakaresh will point where the ruins are on hero's map and will begin to follow him.

  • Accompany Calia to Old Dothûlgrad (**)

When the group arrive to the ruins, they move in and follow the tunnel that goes deeper into the earth. At the end of the tunnel, they find a elevator and a lever on the wall that controls it. The elevator takes them deeper into the dig site.

Following the tunnel will take the group to Lishari Peghast and her team. It seems that they are having a problem with bandits and they had a fight before the hero arrives. Now the bandits somehow activated a mechanism and they locked themselves in and they are standing between the excavation group and the weapon mechanism. However, Lishari has a different way in using a hidden tunnel.

Step 2

  • Accompany Lishari into the vault's interior (**)

The hero follows Lishari into a puzzle room. There is a platform with four bells around it.

  • Solve the bell puzzle (**)

When the hero steps in, he sees a vision about the bells' ringing order. First the hero goes to the northwest bell and take the Bell Hammer from the stand. Then he hits the bells with the exact order like he saw in the vision; SW, NW, NE, SE and NW again. Whenever the last bell is hit, the platform floor disappears and the hero and Calia falls into a pit.

  • Find a way out of the vault (**)

The hero keeps on the track to reach lower levels and fights with bandits on his way.

Step 4

  • Find the first part of the machine and take it to Calia
  • Find the second part of the machine and take it to Calia
  • Find the third part of the machine and take it to Calia

The hero finally finds the machine they were looking for and needs to collect some parts to take back to the Order for further study. First he finds a black Crystal Ball around the machine, then an Old Parchment inside the side room and finally a Strange Dynamo at the wooden platform. The third part shows a vision and in that vision someone comments about the machine will not work properly without an item called Numinos.

  • Report Lishari about the findings

The party exits the Workshop and returns to Lishari. When the Old Parchment shown to her, she transcripts that this machine they found is not the actual one the Pyreans used and adds that Pyreans called this device 'Beacon'.

After the conversation, Calia suggests that they should return back to the temple.

Step 5

  • Return to the Sun Temple and give a report

Grandmaster Arantheal will confirm that whatever the cost they will start building the machine and congratulates the hero of his success.
