Text

Not with the fire of passion clouding
Only with the wisdom of bright stealing light

Look at things, the gods created
The how and the why - you do not fathom

Watch the Wonder - the big and small -
Bright stars in dark night!
But scorn whether the gloss of a thousand suns
No rose of modest splendor

O mortal, you tread under foot a thousand wonders
And a thousand miracles, they can surround you
And fly a thousand miracles in the air
O mortal, and you complain?

The fire is the key
For what captures the fire alive
If not formlessness and earth vessels
It is evaporated and invisible
Hurry on, where once the beginning was
