First, it's hard for a new player to understand this template is talking about a book and not a spell (when dealing with spell tomes). It's easier for us who can tell that if something has gold cost and location it's probably an object, but a new player would not have these context clues. Where templates deal with spell tomes, I recommend that we include '''<nowiki>[Book]</nowiki>''' at the end of the title to distinguish it from spells of the same name.

Title

First, it's hard for a new player to understand this template is talking about a book and not a spell (when dealing with spell tomes). It's easier for us who can tell that if something has gold cost and location it's probably an object, but a new player would not have these context clues. Where templates deal with spell tomes, I recommend that we include [Book] at the end of the title to distinguish it from spells of the same name.

Second, the FormID is duplicated in this template. I like the look of the FormID right below the title in white, the second FormID in smaller black text should be removed.

Locations

cool template, looks a lot better! Only suggestion, is how do we deal with multiple locaitons ? I was putting in stars, but doesn't work for first item ?

I've updated the template so that putting lists inside the locations parameter works now. Just write them normally, like any other list, and it should work without any complications. You might want to spread out the arguments over multiple lines to make the source code easier to read (see the examples I've added to the template page). Also, leaving the "name" parameter automatically sets it to the page title, so it's unnecessary unless the book's title is different from the page's title. -- Davipb (talk) 18:54, 2 September 2016 (UTC)
I see you've updated Enderal:Encyclopedia_Arcana_Magic_Part_II. Sorry if I wasn't very clear, but I meant that using the stars should work now: You can write the bullet-point lists like you were before, just remember to add the star to the first element of the list too. I've updated the examples to demonstrate that. Also, while we're at it, It's not necessary to add the [BOOK: ] part to the FormID, it's self-explanatory from the template that the ID is for a book, and it just looks better without it. -- Davipb (talk) 19:08, 2 September 2016 (UTC)
Neat! I updated script on my side, it'll import then as list. Looks good man, see: Account_of_an_Unknown_Traveler_Volume_1
Could you make it so that the "Type" field is capitalized - Lore instead of lore? Just a little detail I think makes it look better... Also, if there's anything else you'd like to change or add about the template, I'm all ears. -- Davipb (talk) 19:15, 2 September 2016 (UTC)
Will do (takes affect next time I upload/edit with script) Dimecoin (talk) 19:25, 2 September 2016 (UTC)

Editor Name

Could you make the "Editor Name" look better? I'm not sure how to format it nicely like you :) Dimecoin (talk) 17:42, 6 September 2016 (UTC)

I noticed what you were trying to do and improved it shortly after you added it. Do you think it still looks off? -- Davipb (talk) 18:02, 6 September 2016 (UTC)
Looks good, thanks! Dimecoin (talk) 18:36, 6 September 2016 (UTC)

Text

For the book text, should that be part of template or should be formatted case by case per book? Using this as an example (pre tags for now) Enderal:Old_Book_from_Ad'Balor

The book text is the main content of a book page, so I think it should be outside the template, formatted on the page itself. As for the formatting, text is what HTML and Wikis are best at. Just pasting the text directly should probably look fine (that's how UESP does it, they just use a different Serif font). Of course, things like drawings and images need to be handled case-by-case. <pre> works better for code examples and not so well for normal reading, IMO. -- Davipb (talk) 18:53, 6 September 2016 (UTC)
The data uses normal line breaks, wiki wants <br> I guess? -- Dimecoin (talk)
<br /> is for a forced line break (in a poem, for example), you probably want to use two new lines to indicate a new paragraph. -- Davipb (talk) 19:33, 6 September 2016 (UTC)
