Minstrel's Note

File:Line625.jpg

The hours are terrible. The longer this war lasts, the more ruthless the Chancellor's soldiers become. They make it clearly understood that non-humans will not be tolerated in Erothin. The wealthy, they can arrest but we minstrels, who have nothing, are thrown out of town. The commander of the guard of Erothin, Ardon, let us know as we left the city, that if we ever crossed his eyes again, he will make the Aeterna pack bleed. This arrogant idiot! But well, let's not go back anyway, we will now move to the East...

We have managed to cross over the Erod Bridge. The guards there have not harassed or in any way halted us, as they did on the outward journey. Regardless they let us pass. The biggest problem we currently have is that we are just a few Aeterna.

We found a quiet place in Faltrindtal, behind the town Giliad, on a small mountain, we have pitched our camp. The path seems to come out somewhere, perhaps at the great white tower, which we've seen from a distance.

Slowly it becomes more peaceful...

We found a quiet place in Faltrindtal, behind the town Giliad, on a small mountain, we have pitched our camp. The path seems to come out somewhere, perhaps at the great white tower, which we've seen from a distance.

Slowly it becomes more peaceful and we can once again focus on our talents. We will soon move to Giliad and entertain the people there, maybe we can even bargain for one thing or the another.

Damn! What brings Commander Ardon here to Giliad! I hope he has not seen me... He was not alone, there were at least three, four dozen men with him. Why so many soldiers in this part of the valley. I hope we are in a safe camp. If he finds us, we are lost...
